Sanctuary by the Sea is a painting with lots of texture that has been sculpted onto the canvas to create a look of water rushing onto a sandy beach, the colours in the painting are vibrant and have been finished with a glossy shine that gives the water section an almost wet look, also the sandy beach has been buit up to look grainy and has fine little flecks of gold through the paint that catch the light beautifully.
