This painting forms part of my brand new series, The Hydrosphere Collection, a series of 10 highly textured abstract paintings, all inspired by the oceans of our world.
Some pieces feature waves crashing on the rocks of a bay or the powerful currents of the open ocean, using a mixture of materials to give an abstract sense of the oceans and all their overwhelming beauty.
Castaway is a beautiful and vibrant painting with deep, thick texture and a glossy, almost wet look, shine to the surface that enhances the feeling of moving water with a deep burnt orange beneath. This painting has been created on a thick, high quality canvas 4cm thick, has been fully varnished and sealed to make sure the colours stay strong and vibrant for years and years.
Created using a mixture of materials, each painting measures 60cm x 60cm on a thick 4cm canvas with the edges painted black to add to the 3D feel of each painting.
