This painting forms part of my brand new series, The Hydrosphere Collection, a series of 10 highly textured abstract paintings, all inspired by the oceans of our world.
Some pieces feature waves crashing on the rocks of a bay or the powerful currents of the open ocean, using a mixture of materials to give an abstract sense of the oceans and all their overwhelming beauty.
High Tide has a level of texture that pushes your eyes across the surface of the painting as if you were looking at strong waves moving across the surface of the ocean during a windy storm, The tones of blue gently change from white to a deep blue that gives the feeling of the ocean. This painting has been created on a thick, high quality canvas 4cm thick, has been fully varnished and sealed to make sure the colours stay strong and vibrant for years and years.
