This painting forms part of my brand new series, The Hydrosphere Collection, a series of 10 highly textured abstract paintings, all inspired by the oceans of our world.
Some pieces feature waves crashing on the rocks of a bay or the powerful currents of the open ocean, using a mixture of materials to give an abstract sense of the oceans and all their overwhelming beauty.
On the Rocks is a much more traditional Seascape scene, painting that the rest of the collection but is very abstract in nature and has lots of deep, thick directionaltexture as the waves crash on to the rocks of a bay. This painting has been created on a thick, high quality canvas 4cm thick, has been fully varnished and sealed to make sure the colours stay strong and vibrant for years and years.
Created using a mixture of materials, each painting measures 60cm x 60cm on a thick 4cm Canvas
with the edges painted black to add to the 3D feel of each painting.
