This painting forms part of my brand new series, The Hydrosphere Collection, a series of 10 highly textured abstract paintings, all inspired by the oceans of our world.
Some pieces feature waves crashing on the rocks of a bay or the powerful currents of the open ocean, using a mixture of materials to give an abstract sense of the oceans and all their overwhelming beauty.
Waters Run Deep is a very special piece that is bold and striking because of its simple two tone use of colour, this textured painting uses simply white and blue and gradiates from brilliant white through to a deep dark Blue. This painting has been created on a thick, high quality canvas 4cm thick, has been fully varnished and sealed to make sure the colours stay strong and vibrant for years and years.
Created using a mixture of materials, each painting measures 60cm x 60cm on a thick 4cm canvas with the edges painted black to add to the 3D feel of each painting.
