Watching over the Waves is a stunning painting that has been created using a mixture of texture mediums including Acrylics and Gold and Silver Leaf that have been applied with texture on the canvas to build up a sense of a gradation of tone and depth while becoming lighter in layered sections that build up the movement of the waves of the sea at night, the piece has beautiful metallic gold leaf and silver as well as striking blue accents that really make the painting striking and unusual. Fully varnished, this painting has a beautiful glossy shine that captures the light of the room.
